Child Safety Standards Policy

Effective Date: March 3, 2026 | Last Updated: March 3, 2026

1. Our Commitment

aftrs maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM). The safety of minors is a fundamental priority. We are committed to preventing, detecting, and responding to any form of child exploitation on or through our platform.

aftrs is strictly an 18+ platform. We do not knowingly allow any person under the age of 18 to create an account or use our Service. Any account found to belong to a minor is immediately terminated and all associated data is deleted.

2. Prohibited Content and Conduct

The following content and conduct are strictly prohibited on aftrs and will result in immediate account termination and reporting to the relevant authorities:

  • Any imagery, video, or other media depicting the sexual abuse or exploitation of minors (CSAM)
  • Any content that sexualizes minors, including illustrations, AI-generated content, or text
  • Soliciting, sharing, or distributing CSAM or links to CSAM
  • Grooming or attempting to establish inappropriate contact with minors
  • Sextortion or coercion involving minors
  • Any content depicting minors in any context on the platform
  • Facilitating, promoting, or glorifying child sexual abuse or exploitation in any form
  • Trafficking or promoting the trafficking of minors
  • Using the platform to arrange or facilitate real-world contact with minors for exploitative purposes

3. Prevention Measures

aftrs employs multiple layers of prevention to protect against CSAE:

Age Verification

  • All users must provide their date of birth during registration and must be at least 18 years old
  • Accounts are immediately terminated and data deleted if a user is discovered to be under 18

Content Moderation

  • Automated content moderation systems scan uploaded content for potential CSAM
  • AI-powered detection tools are used to identify and flag potentially exploitative content
  • Human review of flagged content and reports is conducted promptly

Platform Design

  • The platform is designed exclusively for adults aged 18 and over
  • Features are designed to minimize risk of contact between adults and minors
  • Users who violate our Terms of Service or Community Guidelines are banned from the platform

4. Detection and Enforcement

When potential CSAE or CSAM is detected or reported, aftrs takes the following actions:

  • Immediate content removal: Any content suspected of constituting CSAM or depicting the exploitation of minors is immediately removed from the platform
  • Account termination: The account responsible for the content is immediately and permanently suspended
  • Evidence preservation: Relevant data is preserved in compliance with applicable law to support law enforcement investigations
  • Reporting to NCMEC: All instances of apparent CSAM are reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) via the CyberTipline, as required by U.S. federal law (18 U.S.C. § 2258A)
  • Law enforcement cooperation: We cooperate fully with law enforcement agencies investigating child exploitation
  • Regional authority reporting: Where applicable, reports are also submitted to relevant regional and national authorities as required by local law

5. In-App Reporting

aftrs provides users with the ability to report child safety concerns directly within the app. Users can:

  • Report a user profile suspected of belonging to a minor or engaging in exploitative behavior
  • Report messages or content that may constitute CSAM or CSAE
  • Flag any behavior that may indicate grooming or exploitation of minors

All child safety reports are treated as the highest priority and are reviewed promptly. Users may also report concerns via email at [email protected].

6. Legal Compliance

aftrs complies with all applicable child safety laws and regulations, including but not limited to:

  • U.S. federal law requiring electronic service providers to report apparent CSAM to NCMEC (18 U.S.C. § 2258A)
  • The PROTECT Act (Prosecutorial Remedies and Other Tools to end the Exploitation of Children Today Act)
  • The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)
  • Applicable state laws regarding child exploitation and mandatory reporting
  • International child protection laws applicable in jurisdictions where our Service operates

We regularly review and update our policies and practices to remain in compliance with evolving legal requirements and industry best practices for child safety.

7. Training and Accountability

Team members involved in content moderation and trust and safety operations receive training on identifying and responding to CSAE and CSAM. We maintain internal accountability processes to ensure our child safety policies are consistently enforced.
